When a storm tears through Mauston and shingles start peeling off the roofline, you need a crew that picks up the phone and shows up — not a call center that puts you on hold.
Roof Repair Smedway didn't start as a franchise looking for a market to plant a sign in. Our crews trained on real tear-offs, real ridge vents, and real attic inspections in Mauston, WI before we ever put a truck on the road under this name.
We carry full liability coverage and workers' compensation, and every lead installer holds current state licensing, so a claim adjuster, a home inspector, or your own insurance carrier can verify our credentials without a single awkward phone call.
We've seen what happens when a roof gets "good enough" instead of done right — the drywall stains, the mold behind the insulation, the second call nobody wanted to make. Our Commercial Roofing teams build to avoid that call entirely.
Every lead technician carries current state credentials before stepping on a ladder.
Emergency lines stay staffed through nights, weekends, and holidays.
No surprise charges once the crew is already on your roof.
Local crews already know the weather patterns and permit offices in Mauston, WI.
A roof rarely fails all at once. It sends smaller signals first, and catching them early is almost always cheaper than waiting for the emergency call.
If your downspout discharge looks like sand, the UV-protective coating on your shingles is breaking down faster than it should.
Shingle edges that curl upward have usually lost flexibility, which makes them far more likely to crack or blow off in the next storm.
Visible light through the roof deck is a direct sign the barrier between your attic and the weather has been compromised.
Ceiling stains tend to grow slowly, which is exactly why they're often ignored until the damage spreads.
Energy bills that creep upward without an obvious reason are worth checking against your roof's condition.
Even one missing shingle can let enough water through to rot the decking underneath within a single storm season.
We break our work into distinct service lanes because a wind-lifted ridge cap and a full tear-off need completely different crews, materials, and timelines.
Active leaks after a storm get a same-day response whenever it's physically possible — a temporary tarp-down first, a permanent fix scheduled right behind it.
From a handful of cracked shingles to a full asphalt or metal system replacement, our residential crews scope the job against manufacturer specs, not guesswork.
We schedule commercial jobs around business hours whenever possible, minimizing disruption to tenants, staff, or foot traffic.
Replacement jobs include a detailed material walkthrough so you're choosing a system that fits your climate exposure and budget, not just whatever's on the truck.
Post-storm inspections give homeowners a documented record for insurance purposes, whether or not a claim is ultimately filed.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general handyman work often gets wrong — our crews treat them as their own scope.
A dispatcher takes down your address, roof type, and the issue, then routes it to the nearest available crew in Mauston, WI.
A technician walks the roof, checks the attic side when accessible, and documents the damage with photos.
Financing and insurance-claim assistance are discussed at this stage if applicable.
Once approved, the crew schedules the work and completes it to manufacturer spec, cleaning the property before leaving.
Crews dispatched from within Mauston, WI reach most Mauston calls faster than out-of-area companies quoting a two-week wait.
We'd rather lose a job over an honest price than win one with a lowball number that grows later.
Crews carry moisture meters, infrared scanners for larger jobs, and proper fall-protection gear on every site.
If something about the finished work doesn't meet the agreed scope, we come back and make it right.
Storm-damage jobs come with photo documentation formatted for insurance adjusters, saving homeowners a step in the claims process.
Some jobs genuinely need a repair, not a replacement, and we'll tell you which one yours is.
A verbal promise doesn't hold up when you need it — that's why our guarantee is documented, dated, and handed to you at project close.
If a crew leader finds something during teardown that changes the scope, you'll hear about it before it changes your bill, not after.
We keep multiple crews staged across Mauston, WI so that a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of Mauston waiting.
Dispatch routes are planned around Mauston's actual neighborhoods and access roads, not a generic radius drawn on a map, which is part of why our arrival estimates tend to hold up.
